About
Recognising excellence across our community
The Nepal-Australia Business & Community Awards celebrate the achievements of Nepali-Australian businesses, organisations and individuals, and the contribution they make to Australia.
People
Behind every business and community group are people who take risks, work long hours and lift others up. The awards put their stories on stage.
Partnership
Nepal and Australia share a growing bond through trade, education and migration. We celebrate the partnerships that make both communities stronger.
Progress
Recognition raises the bar. By showcasing excellence we inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, leaders and volunteers.
How winners are chosen
We want every result to be one the whole community can trust, so the public and an independent panel each have a distinct role:
- Registration review. The committee checks every registered business for eligibility before it is published.
- Customers choose the finalists. Each voter confirms their email address and may vote once per category. The businesses with the most confirmed votes in each category become finalists. Vote tallies are never shown publicly.
- Judges choose the winners. Independent judges score the finalists against published criteria. Judges declare conflicts of interest and do not score categories where they have one.
Full rules are in the terms and conditions.
Who can enter
Businesses based in Australia with a connection to the Nepali-Australian community are eligible. Entry is free: the business owner or an authorised representative registers the business in a category. See the award categories for details.
Who runs the awards
The awards are run by a volunteer organising committee. To get involved, partner with us or ask a question, please get in touch.
